Celebrating 3 years and counting

 Happy 3^rd work anniversary to Ryan, from our sales and marketing team.

Ryan’s initiation into the waste and sanitation world began after he helped during some busy holidays periods whilst studying. After completing his A-Levels, he joined us on a permanent basis.

Ryan started off his knowledge base learning all about our sanitation products, keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, and becoming a dab hand at driving the forklift. As our webshop started to take off, Ryan became involved with the processing and packing of orders, which led to his interest in the digital side of the business.  

With a thirst for knowledge and a knack for I.T. Ryan is now our ‘go to’ person for our webshop, creating product pages and spec sheets, ensuring all the behind-the-scenes systems work smoothly. He deals with gremlins in the system and helps to ensure our webshop and pages are informative, up to date and user friendly.

When asked what he most enjoys about his work, Ryan replied:

‘Having joined the team knowing a minimal information on how the industry worked, I’ve certainly been able to expand my skills and knowledge since joining. From building hundreds of portable toilets in the warehouse, I've certainly progressed.  Jon having spent time teaching and showing me the ropes in all aspects of the business, then providing the opportunity to experiment with (sometimes break) our websites and webshop which helps my own confidence in trying new and exciting things’.

 General Manager Jon reiterated that ‘I think it was Richard Branson who once said [paraphrased] that you shouldn’t employ bright young things and tell them what to do forever; pretty soon you’ll want them to tell you what needs to be done. In this increasingly digital world that’s certainly true of the way Ryan’s position here has evolved in the last three years. He’s pushing me and us in new directions for our websites, webshops and software integrations. With his hunger to try new things combined with his hands-on product experience, it’s great to see the next generation coming through and keeping me on my toes. And he’s a thoroughly nice chap, too! But don’t tell him I said that.’
