As most single portable toilet units supplied to events across the UK and Ireland are designed for unisex use and feature a hand wash basin rather than a urinal, deployment of Pee Pods at strategic points around the event site reduces queues for portable toilets ensuring a smoother experience for users and will help keep them [the toilets] cleaner for longer. As men will be encouraged to use the urinal rather than (join the queue for) the single portable toilet, portable toilets will be kept for those people who need more privacy for their toilet visit.

There will be far less of the toilet seat "up or down" problem common to unisex toilets.

Pee Pod 2's innovative, two piece construction allows the top and bottom sections to nest inside each other making for easy storage and transport of up to 6 units in the same footprint. Theoretically a full load on an articulated vehicle could be as many as 120 units, equating to 480 urinal positions, efficiently using available space, saving transport costs and improving your carbon footprint.

Pee Pod II was designed with both end user and event operator in mind. Three out of the four bays are fitted with 7cm diameter grates to help minimise litter (eg. chewing gum, cigarette ends) from entering the waste tank. The slightly larger 10cm diameter grate in the fourth bay is removable yet retained by a tether and serves as a service hatch. This allows the operator to “skim” the majority of the liquid with a standard 50mm ID / 60mm OD suction wand, and without putting the complete unit out of use - yes, it happens at busy events when men just can't wait.
