Small - Medium Range (waste)

With 400, 450, 800 and 1000 litre tank volumes (88, 99, 176 and 220 gallons) our UK manufactured small-to-medium tanks are used above ground in a wide range of applications.

All four sizes can ordered in either vertical or horizontal orientation: it's simply the positioning of the large 10" lid that is changed. To quote just two of many examples, if used as a water butt you would probably opt for vertical orientation: as a waste collection tank you would most likely select the horizontal option.

If you plan to transport liquids then you will note that all these tanks have inbuilt baffles to minimise the surge and flow of liquids that might affect vehicle stability.

These tanks use a UV-stabilised and WRAS-approved* medium density polyethylene (MDPE) plastic material.

These tanks are supplied in a black finish as standard and can be easily drilled to accept a range of fittings - e.g. tank connectors, couplers, rainwater diverters and taps - to match your application once the tank is in position.

These tanks are suitable for potable water and non-potable water, rainwater harvesting, collecting grey water, toilet waste and slurry. Baffled tanks are also suitable for vehicle-mounting - i.e. to transport liquids for watering / spraying purposes.

*WRAS stands for the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme.

Once remaining stocks are cleared, the 400 litre vertical tank will be discontinued in favour of 450 Litre tank
[1]
Do not lift with liquid contents on board.
[2]
Please note: tank sizes quoted are subject to a +/-3% variation.
[3]
Apart from the 450 litre tank, which includes a 1" BSP brass insert with a female thread, each other tank is provided with a standard 1½" outlet fitting with a male and female thread. The outlet is not fitted, so that you have the option to position it where required, or not use it at all. Other outlet sizes are available: 1" or 2" being the most popular. Outlet fittings allow you to connect your tank to other equipment or to drain the tanks. Drain valves and linking pipes are also available, the latter to link tanks together to increase volume.
[4]
The dry weight is the non-packaged weight of the basic tank. Tanks will be palletised for shipment with a pallet distributor, not a parcel service. In use, each 1 litre of liquid equates to 1 KG in weight.

WRAS-approval allows the installation of products that carry or receive water from the public mains water supply in the UK to fully comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Scottish Byelaws.  WRAS-suffixed tanks will be supplied with a Byelaw 30 "breather" kit for England & Wales or a Byelaw 60 "breather" kit for Scotland.
[-]
Tanks with baffles will be suitable for truck-mounting - i.e. for the transportation of liquids e.g. for watering / spraying purposes.
We reserve the right to amend the technical specification to improve the product without prior notification.
