These tanks provide a superb solution for capturing and storing toilet waste at off-grid sites or when access to a mains sewer or waste treatment plant is not available.
The construction industry will use toilet waste tanks on remote or greenfield sites where there is no mains sewer.
New and/or remote construction sites might typically use a combination of potable water and non-potable water tanks for their clean water supply, connecting these to their site offices (toilets, kitchens, showers) and then collect the toilet waste in a suitably-sized waste collection tank, all of which are "off-grid."
By the same token, the outdoor event industry may put toilet and sanitation facilities in place to cater for large crowds at concerts and festivals.
In many cases, the volume of waste created over short periods of time (e.g. toilet visits during concert intermissions) may require additional storage, in which case large above ground storage tank are connected to toilet blocks or are placed on site as waste transfer stations.
Capacities range from 2,500 to 30,000 litres but you can also link these tanks together to create additional volume.
These waste tanks can be configured in many ways, with, for example:
