It’s Official! We’re ‘Made in Britain’

Plastic Solutions has achieved ‘Made in Britain’ status, proving our commitment to the manufacture and supply of bespoke British products. It’s been an involved and (rightly) rigorous process, which involved providing evidence in the form of videos, photographs and statements to prove unequivocally that our products are made right here in Britain.

The ‘Made in Britain’ mark is recognised as the ultimate stamp of British provenance and seen as a seal of excellence domestically and worldwide. Applying for ‘Made in Britain’ was first suggested by General Manager, Jon Trelfa. Inspired by the commonly asked question: ‘where is this product from?’, Jon felt that Plastic Solutions should be celebrating our British designed and manufactured status.

Despite receiving upwards of ten emails a week from companies offering to make our production tooling and produce our products under licence overseas, we’re committed to the short lead times, quality and assurance that comes with producing in the UK. In fact, although we can’t source everything that our customers require in the UK, in 2023 86% of our sales were of UK-manufactured goods.

Our first ‘Made in Britain’ product, the Tuff Tank, was created by the company back in 2010. The tank provides the means to capture and store toilet, shower and sink waste at off-grid sites ready for safe disposal. The Tuff Tank was followed by the Pee Pod (a 4-bay urinal), the Mini Tuff Tank, and the 100-gallon waste tank / water butt, with the product range continuously being added to.
